Pain Coaching-when is it good for you?

MIRROR KNOW has developed an eight-week pain-Coaching, you can learn to understand your pain better and more competent to deal with them. This is the first part. The other parts can you find in the following weeks.

In this Coaching, you can learn to manage the pain, to relieve you, perhaps. Note: The eight exercise units do not refer to acute, short-term complaints, but to recurring. Only in the case of such pain, it makes sense, the presented Exercises to try and get a better access to one’s own Suffering.

“Another important factor is that the pain in the end, no Declaration of a strong institution is finding the underlying,” says the psychotherapist and pain expert Hanne Seemann has developed this Coaching together with LEVEL of KNOWLEDGE.

Read the list here as a first Exercise, the following short check and check, whether you have to do in your everyday life with this kind of pain – or rather not.

Important: The following questions you can answer probably only if you have clarified your symptoms ever been to a family doctor or specialist. Before you can self-diagnose what type of pain one suffers. If you were with your pain, so never been to the doctor, to get the necessarily. The only way you can find a way to deal with them – and exclude other diseases behind it.

Check: What is chronic pain?

  • I have persistent or recurring pain in the head, abdomen, joints, muscles, face, or anywhere in the body, for it is according to the medical evaluation, no physical cause.
  • Despite medical investigations and diagnosis in the case of specialist physicians is not a condition which can explain my pain really is.
  • The pain have become independent, you are sometimes very strong, or seem to lead a life of their own.
  • In the case of Stress and strain, the pain is often worse.
  • I have one of the following diagnoses: migraine, fibromyalgia, tension headache, somatoform pain disorder, idiopathic low back pain.

If one or more of these five points apply to you, then you will have likely to do with the chronic and partly psychologically induced pain. “Mentally” in this context means that you have a mental illness. What is meant is that the pain that you feel, will ultimately also have a psychological function – it is a kind of action or distress from the body.

“Pain therapists explain to their clients that the body expresses itself through pain. He says that something is not right, even if you know as a person who lives in the body, at first, what could be meant by,” says Hanne Seemann. When you start to pay attention to the when and how of the body with pain responds roughly in the head, back or belly, to recognize often the underlying pattern. And get first ideas, what want to Express the body, what it is and what could be a good. This attention for your symptoms to schools, you now have a further task:

Where is it good?

Now think of the chronic pain, to do you have. Consider: In what Situation, at what locations, what times of your life (in the past) or with what people, the pain does NOT appear? When and where are you absolutely sure that you are complaint-free? Hold one or two answers.

Go a step further and ask yourself, what in the pain-free situations is different. What you feel, what you feel otherwise? What is it that you do not experience otherwise? What do you, what do you think else think? What you, what you do not get otherwise? You are looking for here, too, with a bit of time to reply.

Think in the course of the week, again, what makes the situations in which you are pain-free. If you have spontaneous access to this approach, you can already start to experiment a little and consider where you might be this quality that you feel in pain-free situations in your everyday experience.

If the whole Exercise is rather difficult, make sure you get on with it, where and when there are ever moments in which you are pain-free and try, these situations also happen.
